Extinct

Brenda's six-year-old daughter was explaining to the other
kids what "extinct" meant:

"Well," she said in all seriousness, "it means that the
dinosaurs are all dead and have been dead so long they don't
stink anymore. That's why they call them exstinked."

Some Human Thinking

I have a neighbor two doors down that has a speaker in his voice box :-)

You can hear him over a chain saw, a loud car and even a lawn mower.

He got his wife a tea cup Chihuahua. It barks (yaps) constantly when someone comes

to the door or we walk by. He yells over it and tells it to shut up and then continues to talk.

I thought tonight I couldn't have a yapping dog again..I have had yapping dogs.

God gave me a puppy that doesn't bark..GOD IS SO GOOD AND PERFECT.

I got the neatest feeling toward God and was thanking Him for things.

Then I got a better feeling..I asked God if in Heaven we could get alone sometime and

just talk. I would love to have Him tell me things about my life and His.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.

Oh My Word!

What a Crazy Day!

I am ready to go to Kroger and the Nursing Home.

I can't find my keys..I'm looking everywhere.

So I decide to use my spare set and go.

I get to Kroger and get my shopping done.

I don't have my card because I don't have my regular set of keys.

I type in my phone number and it didn't work.

I used the old one and it went thru.

So I go to the car and cannot find my spare set of keys.

I look all thru my purse, pockets and look in the car.

So I go back in and down the same check lane I went thru.

Nothing..went down store isles...nothing. Alot of people were helping me look.

I went back up to the Service Desk and a young guy goes to the car

with me to see if maybe they were on the seat or floor.

Nothing.

I call Rick and he can't believe it (I never lose my keys) not to mention two sets in one day.

He was working so he said to call Jim & Julie they were heading back in town.

They stopped and picked me up at Kroger. Julie's Mom was with them.

She got her keys out for her apt and I said don't rub it in ha.

She is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. When Julie was taking her up to her apt she asked Julie if I had been tested for Alzheimer's..

I'm laughing as I am typing this because it still strikes me funny..that she would asked it because she has it..who knows I felt like I did.

So I came home and Jim said to dump everything out of my purse.

I did..I opened a zipper part (where I normally kept my spare set)

I had looked in it several times at the store. And there they were right there.

So I started looking for my reg. set..I had a jacket in the hall and I shook it and my keys were in the pocket.

So Jim & Julie took me back to Kroger to get my car.

I had called Dad and said to tell Mom to get in bed I wouldn't be combing her hair.

The BRIGHT spot of the day was the guy that came to my car and looked in all the windows to see if my keys were in there said "that was the cleanest car on the inside he had ever seen".

WOW that made me feel good, even tho it was a crazy experience.

Everything is Wonderful

My face in the mirror
Isn't wrinkled or drawn.
My house isn't dirty,
The cobwebs are gone.

My garden looks lovely
And so does my lawn.
I think I might never
Put my glasses back on.
